Meet the New 2020 Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro

The Toyota Sequoia has filled an important role in the market, giving customers the option to get a full-size vehicle that drives like a truck but has three comfortable rows of seating. New for 2020 is a TRD Pro version of the Sequoia. This means that the SUV can now come with some features designed for more rugged conditions. The Toyota Sequoia sits on the same frame as the Tundra, so many of the Sequoia TRD Pro features are the same as in the Tundra.

On the exterior, the SUV will get a different grille design, and the TRD Pro logo that will help it stand out and look a bit more aggressive. It will come in white, black, and gray, as well as in a new Army Green that will certainly be a unique choice. Other external upgrades are 18" BBS wheels, a front skid plate, running boards and a built-in roof rack. All of these will work together to showcase the enhanced level of durability.

Sequoia TRD Rugged

Fox interior bypass dampers in the front and rear will allow for a smoother ride even on bumpy trails. As you'd expect, the TRD Pro version will come standard in all-wheel drive, as opposed to the other Sequoias that have the option of either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. The engine will remain unchanged, since the 5.7-liter V8 that currently powers the Sequoia has proven to be a workhorse.

Inside the vehicle, seen passengers will have plenty of room. The middle-row captain's chairs provide easier access to the third row of bench seating, and you can drop the seats down if you need to maximize your cargo space. Touches like embroidered TRD Pro logos, red contrast stitching on the leather upholstery, a sunroof, and a tri-zone climate system add a premium feel to the vehicle. Keyless entry and a push-button start as well as a touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Andoird Auto capability bring some modern elements and extra convenience.

The TRD Pro version of the 2020 Toyota Sequoia may turn out to be your next vehicle if you need a large SUV that's capable of handling itself in a variety of terrains. If you have any questions, please reach out to us at Toyota of Richardson or drop by anytime. You can get behind the wheel of a Sequoia, compare the different models we have, and take one (or more) out for a spin.
