Various events are taking place throughout the DFW Metroplex this month. If you want to get out and do something different with your friends or family, try out one of these local happenings.

Walk for Wishes DFW
The Dallas area’s annual Walk for Wishes fundraiser returns for the 11th year in a row. Sign up and help raise money to support Make-A-Wish North Texas, an organization that grants the wishes of children suffering from life-threatening illnesses. Following the walk, which takes place on April 9, there will be an after party with food vendors, music and a kid’s zone. This year’s event theme is “Be a Hero,” so participants are encouraged to dress as their favorite superheroes.
