How Often Should I Schedule Service For My Toyota?

Your Toyota has many great years of operating use ready to give if you’re ready to provide service as recommended per your vehicle model. For most drivers, following a 15-, 30-, 60-, 90,000- mile service schedule is recommended by the manufacturer to keep the vehicle operating smoothly. You should always refer to the owner’s manual accommodating your vehicle model to learn when to schedule service. Make sure you schedule service as recommended since it keeps your car in tip-top condition, free from breakdown and worry. Plus, you’ll increase the resale value of the vehicle and improve environmental conditions when regular tune-ups are scheduled. No matter what Toyota model you own, schedule service when the time arrives. A sample service schedule that most drivers can expect is below.

15,000-Mile Service

Recommended Oil ChangeAlthough an oil change is recommended before 15,000 miles in almost all vehicles, the first actual manufacturer recommended service occurs at this time. Usually this is at about one-year of ownership. Schedule those oil changes according to the vehicle

Although an oil change is recommended before 15,000 miles in almost all vehicles, the first actual manufacturer recommended service occurs at this time. Usually this is at about one-year of ownership. Schedule those oil changes according to the vehicle recommendations to prevent engine overheating, sludge build-up, and other problems.

This initial service inspects the components underneath the hood to ensure they're free from damage and wear and tear. The air filter is changed during this tune-up and as result, you'll notice improvement in your fuel efficiency. A tire rotation should also be a part of this service.

  • Oil Change - Drained and Replaced
  • Check All Fluid Levels - Top Up as Needed
  • Tires Rotated and Balanced
  • Check Air Filter - Replace as Needed

30,000-Mile Service

Tire Rotation IntervalsExpect the same services at the 30,000-mile service that were provided at the first service. Air filter replacement, coolant replacement, and power steering fluid replacement are among the additional services that are recommended in this service. Transmission fluid oil and filter are recommended to be replaced if needed, although it isn't necessary or recommended for all vehicles. This visit also includes inspection of the spark plugs and the spark plug wires, as many vehicles require replacement at this point.
