What's New For the 2021 Toyota Land Cruiser?
With good looks, power, luxury, and safety, the Land Cruiser has it all. The Land Cruiser debuted in the 1960s. Then, it stood out as a capable and robust SUV made to tackle even the most challenging terrain. The Land Cruiser still has the same rugged appeal, but it is also more luxurious and tech-savvy. In 2020, the Land Cruiser welcomed a new trim called the Heritage Edition. For 2021, the Heritage gets some modifications to offer even more to its occupants. The latest Heritage Edition gets bronze-covered wheels for a unique look. It gets a black roof basket to enhance its sporty appeal, and it has decorative Toyota badges. The Heritage is now available with seating for eight in 2021. Both Land Cruiser trims can be ordered in two additional paint colors in 2021, including metallic silver and gray.
Which Trims & Features Are Available in 2021?
The 2021 Toyota Land Cruiser is made in two trim levels. The trims share many features, but the Heritage Edition has some minor modifications. Leather seating is standard on the Land Cruiser. It also comes with roof rails and automatic LED headlights. The Heritage trim has a slightly different look with an added roof-mounted cargo basket and a unique bronze paint color on its wheels.
The base Land Cruiser seats eight, while you have a choice of five or eight seats in the Heritage. The five-seat layout provides slightly more cargo space and more room behind the second row. Multi-zone climate control is standard, and the Land Cruiser comes with nearly 30 vents for air circulation. A premium JBL audio system and dual-screen infotainment system with Bluetooth, app support, audio streaming, and navigation are standard. The Heritage adds ventilated seats, a heated steering wheel, and keyless entry to the list.

How Much Power Does the Toyota Land Cruiser Have?
A powerful V8 engine drives both Land Cruiser trims. This engine's peak torque exceeds 400 LB-FT, and it delivers 381 horsepower. The engine has eight cylinders and uses regular gasoline. An electronic automatic transmission is standard on both trim levels. Four-wheel drive is the sole drivetrain, and it includes low-range gearing for optimal traction and control.
Technologies to Keep You Safe
A comprehensive safety package is designed to keep you safe in the Land Cruiser. Hill descent control, forward collision warning, lane-departure alert, automatic braking, radar cruise control, and pedestrian detection are notable standard features.
