Toyota RAV4 Review for 2016 Model Year

The 2016 RAV4 now comes with two powertrains: gas-only and hybrid. The gas-only model comes in four trim levels: LE, XLE, Limited, and the all-new SE trim, while the hybrid version come in XLE and Limited. New features on the RAV4 this year include a sleeker exterior style that sports a more aggressive-looking front fascia, as well as LED head- and taillights, a new rear bumper, and new front and sliver skid plates. Three new exterior paint colors have also been added to the 2016 Toyota RAV4 in Richardson, including Electric Storm Blue, Black Currant Metallic and Silver Sky Metallic.
Inside, there are a host of fun new tech and convenience amenities, such as Toyota's new Bird's Eye View monitor, upgraded premium materials, an updated interior shifter, an available leather steering wheel, additional USB ports, more interior colors, an available 7-inch touchscreen and an available 4.2-inch informational display. Other interior amenities include front and rear parking sonar, a navigation system and Sirius XM satellite radio.
The all-new SE trim adds a few more sport features to the crossover, including a sport-tuned suspension, 18-inch Ā alloy wheels, a unique bumper and lower grille design, SofTex seats, a distinctive interior trim and paddle shifters on the steering wheel.
Looking at the powertrain options, many 2016 Toyota RAV4 reviews have praised the crossover's new hybrid option that sports a 2.5-liter Atkinson cycle four-cylinder engine and a small high-torque electronic motor. The system produces a terrific 194 horses and 206 lb.-ft. of torque. The gas-powered crossover is powered by the 2.5-liter four, which produces 176 horsepower and 172 lb.-ft. of torque.
