What's New For the 2021 Toyota Tundra?
New trims and a new appearance are the primary changes for the Toyota Tundra in 2021. This year, the Tundra expands upon its previous lineup with two new trims called the Nightshade and Special Trail Edition. The Nightshade has an all-black color scheme, down to the mirror caps and wheels. Its luxurious interior also includes black leather seats. The Trail Edition brings more off-road capabilities to consumers. The Trail Special Edition gets some custom appearance features, along with more durable tires and special modifications designed for tougher terrain, such as a sport-tuned suspension system and protective skid plates. A new paint color is available for the TRD Pro trim in 2021.
Which Trims & Features Are Available in 2021?
The 2021 Toyota Tundra comes in six trim levels. The first Tundra trim is the SR. The interior includes a seven-inch touchscreen display that has Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The sound system gets six speakers to start with, but you can upgrade to a premium sound system with up to nine speakers on the higher-end trims. With the SR5, you'll get even more amenities, including a power-sliding back window. Fog lights are added to the front end, and you will have a larger eight-inch infotainment display.
Many more amenities are available for the SR5 through packages, including larger 20-inch alloy wheels, sway bars and full LED lighting. The Trail Edition gets a locking bed storage box, a vintage grille, and custom 18-inch wheels. The Limited trim brings back the 20-inch wheels, leather seats, a rear power window, and heated front seats. The Nightshade gets a dark chrome-accented grille, black door handles, black leather seats, and a moonroof. Premium leather seats, a honeycomb grille, and a leather steering wheel are added to the Platinum. The TRD Pro has a TRD skid plate, fog lights, and Fox shocks.
