EVgo Inc. has joined forces with Toyota to expand fast-charging options in Baldwin Park and Sacramento, California. These new stations are part of Toyota's "Empact" initiative, aimed at improving access to EV charging in underserved communities. Equipped with high-powered 350kW chargers, each site is designed for both efficiency and affordability. Conveniently located near popular spots like grocery stores, restaurants, and retail centers, the stations can charge up to eight vehicles at once.
Toyota is deeply committed to safeguarding the environment's health, going well beyond the push for electrification in its range. The impact of automotive batteries on the environment is significant when improperly disposed of, often ending up in landfills and exacerbating pollution. Moreover, these end-of-life batteries contain reusable materials, urging Toyota to collaborate with Cirba Solutions, a company boasting over 60 years of battery recycling expertise.

This added upfront expense is quickly negated though, as EVs are typically much less expensive to own.
Toyota has a number of electric cars of varying types in its lineup. Models include everything from hybrids to fully electric cars. Here are some examples of models.
